Metabolic Associated Liver Disease(MAFLD) is the new preferred term, having replaced NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease), as it better reflects the underlying causes of the disease.

This is an interesting piece. I am hearing more and more about insulin resistance and find the research compelling. Our healthcare system needs to pivot from the medical model to preventative medicine and focus on lifestyle alteration (and healthy food) to prevent many of these conditions from plaguing our societies.
